INVASORA VEGETATION CONTROL IN NATURAL ECOSYSTEMS:
In the natural tropical ecosystems of Colombia, the presence of plant species (of flora) that have easily adapted to the different environmental conditions of our country is increasing, invading large areas of natural areas and exercising competition for food, light and water with the native flora, in some cases causing death.
From La Fundación through volunteer actions, we promote environmental training days related to environmental protection and flora preservation, as well as the intervention by manual control of invasive species that cause significant environmental damage in our native ecosystems .
COLLECTION OF PLASTIC AND ORDINARY WASTE NOT DEGRADABLE FROM WATER SOURCES:
The headwaters of the hydrographic accounts (water sources) and the riverbeds, are places converted for years in the sinks (sanitary landfills) of different types of waste that are properly disposed of by the people who inhabit and surround them, this waste finally, without control, they will be deposited in the seas and oceans causing great effects on the river and marine ecosystems.
From The Foundation through volunteer actions, we promote environmental awareness days regarding the proper disposal of waste, as well as the intervention by manual collection of all waste found in the most critical sites identified by its ecosystem fragility, contribution to the landscape or environmental services
SEED OF NATIVE TREES:
From The Foundation with the support of allies, through volunteer actions, we promote environmental awareness days concerning the importance of trees in natural and urban ecosystems. We carry out intervention days by planting and subsequent maintenance of native trees in urban or peri-urban areas, where areas with tree cover deficiency have been identified.
